Mageba

Mageba clan is an African family with a proud legacy and long tradition of leadership, upholding high standards of honor and discipline while being quick to help when someone needs assistance. They strive for perfection in everything they do; being very competitive themselves.

Mageba derives its name from Nguni words umuthunye (tree) and omkhulu (“big”), although over time this has undergone several phonological modifications, becoming both dlamini and endemini; with latter serving as noun forms and the former serving as verb forms class 3.

Mageba kaGumede was one of the early leaders of South Africa’s Zulu people. He succeeded his twin brother Phunga as chief in 1727.

Two of his sons later served as chiefs – Ndaba and Jama – while being related to Shaka and Dingane both being Zulu kings made Mageba an influential leader with great popularity within his kingdom and clan name.

The Ndaba are descendants of Ndaba, an exceptional prophet and healer. He could predict when rain would fall and bring animals out from hiding; additionally, he was known to cure illnesses including fevers and tuberculosis.

Ndaba’s followers revered him and considered him their Lord; thus making him considered father to all Zulus today; his name means “their Lord”.

Ndaba was known to possess great wisdom while singing beautiful melodies with powerful leadership abilities, standing up for their rights with passion while his love was evident in everything he did for them all along their journey together.

Mpangazitha

The Mpangazitha clan is one of the twelve clans comprising amaMfene. Situated in Mpumalanga and named after an area called Mpangazitha.

It’s a large and powerful tribe with multiple subclans; part of Mkhonto zakhelwe; with several traditional groups under its purview and main town being Mthatha.

Mpangazitha peoples hold strong traditions of rememberance and family loyalty. Their ancestors were legendary warriors and fighters known for their bravery during war.

Furthermore they are very intelligent and quick-witted individuals; with Mpangazitha warriors boasting impressive physical strengths as well as exceptional skills when combatting enemies.

Mpangazitha clan has produced several notable leaders over time, such as Cetshwayo kaMpande (1834-1884), Dinuzulu kaCetshwayo (1868-1913) and Cyprian Bhekuzulu kaSolomon (1948-1968).

Mpangazitha is also well-known for its beautiful music; traditional songs are used to reflect values and beliefs and often carry deep meaning; they can even help children learn morals that will help shape them into better citizens of their nation.

Mbatha

The Mbatha clan is one of South Africa’s largest and most well-known. Comprising direct descendants of Sontshikazi ka Mpangazitha ka Mageba ka Zulu, this powerful and esteemed lineage has an extraordinary history of struggle, survival and success that makes being part of it an honorous feat.

At this event, speakers shared their stories of becoming members of this kinship and expressed pride in sharing it with others. Many thanked iNkosi for unifying Mbatha community.

Legend has it that Sontshikazi would wear full buffalo hide blankets like clothing. His people echoed this fashion choice and when neighbouring clans saw them wearing this attire they began calling them emambatheni (those always covered by blankets).

Ndaba, son of Sontshikazi fathered many sons including Dladla, Shandu, Mbeje Dumisa Mngeni Nsibankulu all of whom became known as Mbathas or Mbathas by name alone! Since that time its popularity has only grown more.
